Night of the Eagle
Aroview: A successful academic (Peter Wyngarde) plumbs a prime teaching post at an English village idyll, causing a flurry of petty jealousies among the locals, and leading to the discovery that his protective wife is a practitioner of witchcraft. Outstanding British chiller craftily teases out the paranoia before plunging into paranormal hysteria, and climaxing memorably in a showdown with a gigantic eagle. Based on Fritz Leiber's story, 'The Conjure Wife'.

4 stars (Very Good) Creepy horror that sits up there with the best of them, including Night of the Demon. The horror is mostly implied, making it all the scarier and then what is finally shown is truly chilling. The British cast go full tilt against the sinister proceedings. ~Hammerscope
3 stars (Good Enough) British horror from this period are very adapt at creating the right atmosphere. ~Tubbs
