24 Hour Woman
Aroview: An incisive, often hilarious film about a very real dichotomy – how does parenthood fit into the life of a modern career woman?
In a restrained, career-best performance, Rosie Perez is thrown into the thick of it as the hard-working producer of a women’s morning TV show whose life is complicated by pregnancy, then upturned completely by motherhood. In spite of abandoning realism in the finale, this is well-rounded and satisfying, and especially reassuring for those women (and men!) in the throes of early parenthood.
