Dish, The
Aroview: Another endearing tale from the creators of much-adored THE CASTLE, based on real events that involved small-town Aussies in the satellite transmission of the 1969 moon landing. A giant leap in budget and scope, but retained is the big-hearted yet gently-mocking humour that here pitches folk of humble pride against ultimate sophistication – not only the landmark event but their giant satellite dish, itself a monument to human achievement. ‘Feel good’ for sure, but thankfully more in a vegemite sense than treacle.
