Aroview: An All-American true story in which Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton and Kevin Bacon are astronauts aboard the ill-fated mission to the moon, while Ed Harris is the chief of buzz-cuts at Houston Control. State-of-the-art technically, and as good a film as the material allows.
Average rating (Very Good). Showing 1-3 of 3 member reviews.
5 stars (Exceptional) This re-enactment captures the horror of the event as the world waited in dread for the crippled space craft to return. Tom Hank's greatest performance: the functions he performs are authentic due his passion for space travel. ~rakau
4 stars (Very Good) Howard carefully balances spectacle and character, rendering the incredible events in scrupulous detail (with a tiny bit of poetic license), while still managing to make it all hugely entertaining. A must–see. ~HiFi
2 stars (Good Try) It goes on forever - because the outcome is well known there is no suspense. The special effects are the only highlight as the script is crappy at times and the soundtrack makes you cringe. ~Tubbs
