Aroview: Derived from a computer game scenario, this sci-fi actioner, set on an Earth ravaged by alien invasion, is notable as the first movie to ‘star’ solely digital actors (voiced by Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, David Sutherland and Ming Na). Although its attempts to convey subtle facial expressions are at times too synthetic-looking, the tight pacing and convincing storyline provide robust entertainment value.

3 stars (Good Enough) Incredible CGI in all respects other than facial animations, Final Fantasy is only a decent sci fi tale, but a landmark graphical achievement. ~Tom H
