Renee Zellweger, complete with English accent and mannerisms, suffers the late 90s zeitgeist of London office-life, with comic skills matching the other leads: boss/seducer Hugh Grant, finally cast in the role of superficial pommy toff he was born for, and Colin Firth as the aloof, yet principled love-interest. Those desperate, childless mid-30s done with unaffected charm.

3 stars (Good Enough) A sort of modern retelling of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice - the dilemmas of a 30-something single girl living/working in London, as she juggles career with romance, friends and family. Feel-good romantic comedy with some substance. ~GenXGirl

3 stars (Good Enough) The screenplay is well written. Probably Renee's best performance and it gels well with that of the other two lead characters. The superb support cast is the icing on the cake. ~Tubbs
