Aroview: Cute, but declawed pop-biz satire derived from an ‘Archie’ comic spinoff (and TV series), in which the titular girl-band use their ditzy charm in an assault on corrupt record-company practices (embodied by Alan Cumming and Parker Posey). Rachael Leigh Cook, Tara Reid and co. survive on silliness, but really...CLUELESS had alot more clues.

4 stars (Very Good) This funny & subversive satire on media manipulation and product placement got a hostile reception from the entertainment press so out of proportion to the actual movie, I have to wonder if they struck too close to home. ~Pearce
