An Everlasting Piece
Aroview: Dir. Levinson heads east of Baltimore for a bravely irreverent slice of Northern Irish sectarian humour, with Barry McEvoy (who also scripted) and Brian F O'Byrne as ambitious barbers hoping to put profit over religious hair-splitting. Many anecdotes are culled from the adventures of McEvoy’s own father, a former wig-salesman, and were no doubt polished over a few pints of Guinness. Billy Connelly and Anna Friel add eccentricity and charm respectively.
