Spy Kids
Aroview: Smashing kidult adventure, in which action dir. Rodriguez lends his action talents to a James Bond-type tale with a twist: Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino are captured spy-parents whose two children must come to the rescue.
Distinguished in most departments - an inventive script, realistically squabbling siblings and crafted action set-pieces.

3 stars (Good Enough) Two top secret agents fall for each other, retire and have children. However, are called back to duty only to be captured by an evil techno-wizard - and it's up to their kids to save them. Good family adventure. ~GenXGirl
3 stars (Good Enough) I can only guess that Rodriguez was making this for his kids - because it's so not him in almost every way. But nonetheless, there is a lot to like for the kids and family, if it's a little cartoonish most of the time. ~Tom H
3 stars (Good Enough) This is very creative film is enjoyable is for a young audience, but does not have much appeal for older viewers. ~dr.strangelove
