Aroview: Set in the heavy rock scene of the mid 80s, this music ‘comedy’ invites hysterics by (maybe?) taking itself too seriously in the face of some ridiculous dialogue, fright-wigs, cod-pieces and the towering shadow of SPINAL TAP.
The rock clichés are belted out as copycat rocker Mark Wahlberg gets his big break with his idol band, but learns the price of fame includes losing girlfriend Jennifer Aniston. Loosely based on the rags-to-riches tale of Tim "Ripper" Owens who succeeded as the lead singer of British metal legends, 'Judas Priest'.

2 stars (Good Try) Uneven - Timothy Spall heads some acting talent in the support cast so there is usually something to fall back on. ~Tubbs
