Aroview: Searching for a little excitement in those hills due west of Christchurch, NZ, Melanie Lynsky and Dean O’Gorman are sucked into a series of private feuds involving skinheads, drug-dealers, Japanese tourists and a sociopathic Yankee hitchhiker.
While wildly parodying itself most of the time, this acid-fueled road-movie boasts an enjoyable surplus of sick humour and sexual hi-jinks, confessing a worship of American trash culture with its great soundtrack and parade of in-jokes.
