Aroview: Squirmingly funny independent film that makes exemplary use of its small budget with a sustained, original script and handsome digital videography.
Two primary school pals reunite after fourteen years, and find that they have little in common between Chuck’s LA music executive career and impending marriage and Buck’s stalled small-town existence. But what was a one-time reminisce for Chuck sparks an obsessive friendship for his unbalanced old chum. Mike White (who also wrote the script) is creepy yet sympathetic, but Chris Weitz especially excels as the decent everyman who finds it hard to say 'no'.
