Aroview: Denzel Washington plays a cash-strapped pillar-of-decency who can’t afford his son’s heart-transplant in the mercenary US medical system, so in desperation pulls out a gun and starts taking hostages. Well-meaning, if not overearnest, this takes an important issue and makes it melodrama.
