Beneath Clouds
Aroview: A standout Australian drama of recent festivals, this elevates a slimly plotted road movie concerning two Aborigine teens (one light-skinned, one dark), with sharp, not-too-glossy visuals and the raw acting talents of Dannielle Hall and Damian Pitt.
She’s a runaway from her dysfunctional family, he an escapee from a prison-farm, and their accidental companionship has a convincing, prickly dynamic as both try to re-determine their fates.

4 stars (Very Good) Lena and Murri are two marginalised Aborigine teenagers trying to make sense of their place in the world. Willing to undertake whatever journeys are necessary to find those places. A small, quiet film - with a big, loud, message. ~GenXGirl
