Cherish

Aroview: A self-consciously offbeat ‘indie’ about a retro-pop obsessed misfit (Robin Tunney in a winning, flaky performance) who finds herself under house arrest with an ankle monitor.

Jarringly blends romantic farce, lonelyheart drama, fantasy, and suspense elements, but moreover fails to match the pure romanticism and intensity of the cherished pop music that saturates the soundtrack (incl. Human League, Hall & Oates, Soft Cell, Tom Petty, etc.).
