Aroview: Probably the finest skinhead movie ever made - Tim Roth giving an electrifying debut performance as a glaring malcontent who takes out his rage against ‘The System’ with nihilistic glee.

Initially made for the BBC by maverick dir. of SCUM it pragmatically depicts the good intentions and subsequent inadequacy of the British youth crime services, without ever letting its anti-social protagonist off the hook - Roth’s glue-sniffing and white supremacist diatribes making for disturbing viewing.

3 stars (Good Enough) Excellent performance from Tim Roth. Alan Clarke's classic bare-bones style is very prevalent here, and I'd be lying if I said its inclusion didn't help elevate every picture I've seen from him. ~Anon
