Roadie
Aroview: A rock’n’roll satire starring Meat Loaf as a roadie on the road to nowhere, this had a rather mixed reception on release.
Trying to meet with shock rocker Alice Cooper, Meat and groupie Kaki Hunter do the rounds of their scuzzy existence, sighting famous faces like Roy Orbison, Blondie and Hank Williams Jnr along the way. Dir. Rudolph’s trademark sappy, yet surreal humour doesn’t entirely fit, but this has retained a cult following.
