Late Bloomers

Aroview: A lonely, ageing geometry teacher has a blossoming affair with the principal’s married secretary, setting off a chorus of disapproval among the teachers, parents and pupils of their suburban high-school.

After both are promptly fired, they determine to fight for their right to be together and prove a thing or two to the town’s nay-sayers, with a finale involving not one, but two, wedding dresses. Didactic and melodramatic certainly, but also touching and sensitive in its depiction of unlikely romance.
