Cool and Crazy
Aroview: A laconic, ultimately touching documentary on the male choir of Berlevag, a remote Norwegian village that was the setting for BABETTE’S FEAST.
With the sublime chords of the choir’s music echoing across the barren snowy wastes, we slowly become involved in the various lives of the dedicated choristers – taxidrivers, fisherman, ex-drug addicts, paraplegics and elderly romantics. This northern journey climaxes with a concert in Murmansk, Russia where political and personal differences get an impassioned airing.
