Aroview: Brilliantly rancid satire on US sitcoms like THE COSBY SHOW, depicting a white trash family of appalling bad taste, curdled dreams and sick humour.

Al Bundy (O’Neill) plays a crass, oafish shoe salesman with a sex-starved wife, wimpish son and pea-brained slut of a daughter, who in each episode manage to torment each other into a frenzy, often concluding on a note of obviously false sentimentality. Presenting a contrast are their goody-good neighbours, of the shallow, grasping kind. An important influence on later cult shows like BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD, SOUTH PARK and ROSEANNE.
