Aroview: Michael Cunningham’s Pulitzer-prize winning novel is brought to the screen with excellent performances, and though simplified and not for all tastes, translates as a gracious meditation on the redemptive power of literature for readers and writers alike.
Employing Virginia Woolf's classic novel and central character, Mrs. Dalloway, as its foundation and inspiration, this spans three different eras over one day, focusing on the parallel lives of three women joined in their depression, alienation, and search for love.

5 stars (Exceptional) Profoundly moving. One to prep for - don't watch before a social event or you'll be the boring one looking woeful in the corner. STILL A MUST SEE (just at the right time ok) ~Baby
5 stars (Exceptional) ~Milana
2 stars (Good Try) Not very uplifting rather depressing movie ~Anon
5 stars (Exceptional) Complex & densely plotted so that the original novel "Mrs Dalloway" by Virginia Woolf is split over 3 time periods in the US. Stunning caste and a very hard realistic view of the inner lives of women in relationships. Brilliant plot & profound. ~Sandy
4 stars (Very Good) The casting of the three leads is strong with equal strength in the support of Richardson, Harris, and Dillane. The Victorian props are spot on, the make-up people deserve a commendation and the musical score is in the excellent hands of Philip Glass. ~Tubbs
