Fedora
Aroview: Fascinating later work from dir. Wilder, in which an impoverished film producer travels to the Greek islands to track down an elusive European star (modelled on Greta Garbo).
Reusing some of the elements of SUNSET BOULEVARD (including actor William Holden), this relates a contrasting, though equally dark fairytale of show business. Gripping throughout and despite the eventual unveiling of grotesque secrets more in keeping with a horror film, its atmosphere is soft, romantic and mysterious.

3 stars (Good Enough) Having seen the classic "Sunset Blvd." in the last few months it is difficult not to make comparisons and to rate this fairly. However, I thought Fedora only caught fire in parts but when it did it was worth it. ~Tubbs
