Aroview: A typically offbeat HK amalgam of historical saga, martial arts action and CGI special effects.

Set in the first half of the 20th century, this chiefly concerns the progress of titular youth through the years of Sino-Japanese conflict, personified in by an ongoing personal duel with a skilled Japanese swordsman. The story also carries him across the Pacific to America and back, a grand historical sweep that has led to it being one of Hong Kong's highest grossing films of all time.
