Barbershop
Aroview: Set on the last day of business for a Chicago barbershop, this spins much engaging chatter, discourse and comedy between barbers and their black South Side clientele.
After having sold the shop to a loan shark, Ice Cube discovers the special status it holds for local residents and tries to renege on the deal. Although containing many comic vignettes, this is finally too messy to deliver the solid drama it promises, settling for some brash 'sitcom' humour and memorable characters.
