Respiro
Aroview: Highly charged and mostly insightful depiction of a free-spirited woman whose near-psychotic episodes have a profound effect on her small Sicilian fishing village.
Something of a festival hit for its gorgeous Mediterranean scenery, rustic rhythms and attractive, amateur cast (excepting the unstoppable Golino in the lead), this to a certain extent replicates some of the cliches of the genre. However, its life-affirming tone and joyously-depicted locations, make for a vivid and memorable experience.
