Aroview: A finely devised Spanish thriller, in which particularly obsessed gamblers contest their 'Luck' in various absurd, dangerous and creepy ways.

After an enigmatic opening section, in which a washed-out gambler guides the 'lucky' survivor of a plane crash into this underground world, the dir. keeps the concept rolling through twist after compelling twist. Rendered with sleek, carefully wrought style, this auspicious debut is well worth the cerebral detour.

2 stars (Good Try) Intacto called out as a film due to press all the right buttons for a deep and stylistic suspense drama. However, it ultimately winds up as a collection of compelling ideas that fail to live up to their promise in both style and substance. ~Tom H
