Five Senses, The

Aroview: Austere relationship drama in which five loosely-connected characters serve as metaphors for the five senses, including a bisexual housecleaner with a nose for love, and a taste-impaired baker.

Somewhat conforming to the Canadian arthouse archetype, this is visually impeccable and has strong performances, though the drama is suffocated under what is a perhaps too-literal, too self-conscious attempt to play out its central conceit.
