Secret Window
Aroview: Coming off the back of a messy divorce, novelist Depp moves to an isolated lakeside house where he must contend with accusations of plagarism by an aggressive stranger (Turturro).
Annoyingly unable to prove his innocence, the pressure mounts on Depp, turning in yet another inventive performance that (almost) saves the movie from the deadweight of cliche and an eye-rolling final twist. Score by Philip Glass. Based on a Stephen King short story.

3 stars (Good Enough) Based on another Stephen King "writer's block" story, this one sees author (Depp) struggling to write his book under intense pressure from a mysterious and dangerous man accusing him of stealing the story he's still writing. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) A nasty little movie with nothing more to offer than violence and madness. I guess some people like that kind of thing. ~s36e175
2 stars (Good Try) The intriguing premise and the impressive cast got my hopes up, but they were dashed by the numbskull resolution, bah! ~HiFi
