This deftly weaves a comedic sensibility with horrific thrills, handled with considerable skill from its leads; its film noir twists and turns achieving plausibility by a snappy script and tight direction. Its low budget, too, works with the premise - the sparse, minimalist New York apartment is a perfect setting for such disturbing urban neuroses.
