Postcards From America
Aroview: Important film of the New Queer Cinema is a fierce, impressionistic drama inspired by the writings of performance artist David Wojnarowicz, who died of AIDS in 1992.
Comprising of three chapters in the protagonist's life, the first is of David as an overweight child who is traumatized by his parents' violent fights, the second follows him as a runaway teenage punk and street hustler, while the third, more abstract segment finds him as lonely adult drifter who finds release in quick sex, fast cars and the open road.
