And Now Ladies and Gentlemen
Aroview: A smooth exercise in self-satire from dir. Lelouch, with Jeremy Irons playing a shifty jewel-thief who hooks up with lounge-singer Kaas in the musty dens of modernday North Africa for tentative romance.
Pulling plot-twists, flashbacks and newly exotic locales out of the deck every few scenes (hence the title), this thriller succeeds in maintaining a lightly playful mood that has seduced several admiring critics.

3 stars (Good Enough) A screenplay of two halves. The shorter first half, before he goes on the run, was better for me but the second half is also good. The very consistent Jeremy Irons anchors proceedings and the jazz score that runs most of its length worthy of purchase. ~Tubbs
