Aroview: Biopic of the controversial Puerto Rican poet Miguel Pinero, whose play 'Short Eyes' and NYC junkie lifestyle propelled him to brief fame, before he died homeless in 1988.

Perhaps ultimately a little too self-important for its subject, this shot-on-video effort does match its jiving street dialogue to a jumpy visual style with a certain panache, and Bratt is surprisingly effective in the lead.
