Clan of the Cave Bear, The

Aroview: In the Cro-Magnon age when homosapiens shared the earth with an earlier species of man, Darryl Hannah gets adopted by a clan of Neanderthals, where her blue-eyed blondness and 'intelligence' becomes a source of jealousy and conflict.

Simplistic treatment leaves the cast to embarrasingly 'ape' the anthropological detail of Jean Auel's original novel. Screenplay by John Sayles.
