Godsend
Aroview: An age-old horror conceit grafted onto the topical 'genetic cloning' debate, with Kinnear and Romijn-Stamos playing a couple who agree to have their 8-year old son cloned after he is tragically killed.
De Niro plays the mad scientist in charge, who brings forth a real little 'bad seed' in his place, and the film develops with gathering menace and a series of seat-jolting shocks. Thinking about the storyline is not recommended though.

2 stars (Good Try) Not quite as intriguing as it should be, and relying a little too heavily on the 'creepy child' idea that we have become accustomed to, this was disappointing for me, especially in light of the numerous psychological thrillers of recent years. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) The horror idea is fine but the screenplay is humdrum and familiar being similar to those involving possessed children. ~Tubbs
