Taxi

Aroview: A NYC detective recruits a taxi driver (Latifah) renowned for her driving skills, to catch a gang of leggy super-model bank robbers (all Portugese!) in this 'low on gas' remake of the Luc Besson-scripted French hit.

Filled with clunking characters and plot points, that while quirky in the original, here unfold with Hollywood obviousness. Only those with no other ride in sight should catch this cab, which, in one saving grace, at least puts its foot down in the car chases.
