Feat. Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant
Aroview: Again playing the English everygirl betrayed by her genius for the 'faux pas', Rene Zellweger runs a gamut of embarassing situations as she needlessly renegotiates the affections of her worthy boyfriend (Firth) and his mischievious rival (Grant).
Leaving her hard-won beau on a small pretext, she plunges into a series of escalating mistakes, climaxing in a spell in a Thai prison on suspicion of drug-trafficking. Offering disappointingly little in the way of new developments from the first film, this floats by on a broader, looser style of comedy, though is jolly enough to keep you grinning.

2 stars (Good Try) An insecure Bridget believes her now boyfriend Mr Darcy is being unfaithful. And when Daniel arrives back on the scene things go very pear-shaped. Silly plot, and nothing fresh is offered in this predictable and disappointing sequel. ~GenXGirl
2 stars (Good Try) The sequel takes things a little too far, placing Bridget in silly situations for little reason. The original cast is here and likeable as ever, but the plot leaves much to be desired. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) Although there is a different plot to the original both depend on the same characters so there is a "sameness" that is hanging around the neck of this sequel - it is watchable but Renee's character does mumble unfortunately. ~Tubbs
