La Chinoise
Aroview: Five Parisian students dabble in the possibilities of enacting a Mao-ist revolution in the West, in one of dir. Godard's more overt flirtations with youth politics, which in some ways predicted the student riots of 1968.
Colourfully filmed, with brilliant use of pop imagery, this is still a fresh time capsule of the period. If you can hack some of the more wild pronouncements, the undercurrents of clever irony are most enjoyable.
