Apache
Aroview: Although now dated in it's treatment of the subject - like casting the blue-eyed Lancaster as an Apache Indian - at the time this was a fairly brave film in being prepared to delve into the inequities of the treatment of Native Americans. Lancaster plays Massai, the only one of Geronimo's Apache warriors not to surrender at the end of the Indian wars, and who continued to hold a grudge against society.

2 stars (Good Try) Burt looked a bit silly which is unfortunate as he is too good an actor to be ridiculed, albeit unintentionally. However, the story is decent enough and probably, well intentioned. ~Tubbs
