Stroll, The
Aroview: An acclaimed, and winningly light-handed promenade through the streets of St Petersburg, with three 20-somethings, as they skirt, revolve and engage with the sexual and cultural politics of modern-day Russia.
Recalling both the free-wheeling dialogue and acting styles of the French New Wave and camera balletics of RUSSIAN ARK, this nonetheless develops a solid storyline out of character dynamics, even evolving a last act twist. A unique, if small-scale, gem of recent cinema.
