Constantine
Aroview: A stylish, but rather misfiring adaptation of the DC comicbook 'Hellblazer', with Keanu Reeves playing a wry, hard-boiled detective with supernatural credentials, who attempts to solve the case of a mysterious suicide.
Set in a kind of alternate Los Angeles which crosses film noir with demonology, Reeves battles his way into an 'underworld' of nightclubs, deviltry and angelic portents, flipping dubious one-liners off as he goes. Shot with flair and unflinchingly graphic moments, this is ambitious enough to warrant a viewing for comic-horror fans.

3 stars (Good Enough) DC's Hellblazer makes a big screen appearance, with Keanu doing his Matrix thing, and some otherworldly special effects carrying the end-of-days story along. Worth seeing, if only for the unique special effects somewhat reminiscent of Timur Bekmambetov' ~Tom H
3 stars (Good Enough) Okay story. The leads aren't anything to write home about and not enough is seen of Tilda and Pruitt. ~Tubbs
