Criminal
Aroview: A reasonably successful American replay of the Argentian thriller NINE QUEENS, this sees a con artist (Reilly) take an apprentice (Luna) under his wing to try and steal a valuable bank note.
Co-written by Steven Soderbergh, the plot gets a good re-twisting, but ultimately the Los Angeles setting lacks the shifty exoticism of Buenos Aires. Even so, Reilly gives a standout anti-hero performance and the action is handled with considerable verve.

3 stars (Good Enough) Unnecessary remake of the great Nine Queens, with some decent twists and turns, but not enough to really keep you invested in the characters. ~Tom H
3 stars (Good Enough) A competent con-man drama, but a little predictable. ~s36e175
