Querelle (1982): It is pretty raw in places, but always of interest, and the stylisation of some scenes helps.
Flying High (Airplane!) (1978): One of the better spoofs.
War Lord, The (1965): Heston had to be cast as the lord – not only because of his star status but because they didn't have concrete posts in those days. The interesting Richard Boone, on the other hand, was underused.; DVD $29.95
From the Terrace (1960): It starts off okay, but it gets soapier and soapier.
Affair of the Necklace, The (2001): The excellent casting helps to make up for the uninteresting characters. The story is interesting enough and is well mounted.
Jason's Lyric (1996): It relies a bit too much on violence and therefore is indistinguishable from many other screenplays.
My Fair Lady (1964): The songs are brilliant, and GBS's satirical writing is not lost in the screenplay. It is good to see Audrey cast in a meaty character for once, and she is excellent.; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
Moby Dick (2010): A decent adaptation, but no matter which version you see, you end up cheering for the whale.
Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970): A little dated 55 years on, but it has some curiosity value still.
Cloudburst (2011): Olympia is a bit over the top at times, but it at least has some freshness to it.
