Incident, The (1967)
The initial scenes are very strong for the performances of the two louts but above all for the miserable seedy locations. It is not as strong once the action moves to the subway but it is still worth the price of admission.
Love Actually (2003)
Has too many characters which might be the reason it drags on too long. Although the screenplay has an undertone of soppiness its hard not to watch scenes involving quality actors like Thompson, Linney and Rickman.
Bridget Jones's Baby (2016)
The frothy screenplay would have been much better if it had not dragged on for an extra half hour. A quality support cast of Firth, Broadbent, Thompson and Jones certainly helps.
Babes in Toyland (1961)
The musical side is not memorable but the set designs and special effects are commendable.
Zoolander 2 (2016)
Made fifteen years after the original – sounds like the makers needed quite a bit of convincing.
Masterminds (2016)
It is more silly than funny.
Chicago (2002)
A couple of the musical numbers are watchable but it doesn't really stand out as a musical. The wardrobe team do a great job though.
X-Files, The - Season 1 (TV Series) (1993)
The episodes are consistently well written and performed – the lead characters are distinguishable both as individuals and as a team.
Skeleton Twins, The (2014)
Its a talkie but its not too long. I couldn't find anything engaging in the characters or screenplay however.
Casablancas: The Man Who Loved Women (2016)
It seems that anyone with home video footage qualifies as a subject of a documentary. Heavens knows what the future holds with the proliferation of cameras today. Casablancas hadn't really contributed anything of value to justify 82 minutes of footage.
