Nice Guys, The (2016)
It is entertaining but confused in what kind of film it wants to be. The attempt at black comedy is commendable and nearly succeeds.
Gipsy Kings: Live at Kenwood House in London (2005)
It includes both the daytime and then the night time concert. They are great ambassadors for flamenco.
Ocean's Thirteen (Ocean's 13) (2007)
Nothing really happens for such a long time and all these hollywood stars are hanging around and being paid for doing very little. The whole thing just drags.
Merry Gentleman, The (2008)
Kelly MacDonald is terrific and this is in no small way because Keaton as director and co performer recognises her as a good thing and gives her plenty of opportunity. There is little suspense in this low key drama but it is compact & has a great ending.
RV (Runaway Vacation) (2006)
It lifts somewhat when the Jeff Daniels family arrives on the scene.
Meet the Fockers (2004)
You can choose between a screaming kid or a humping dog as your highlight.
Rome (TV Series) (2005)
Season 1: I thought the set designs were outstanding particularly those depicting the daily lives of the peasants. The screenplay is uneven but its very good at times. The cast is quality with Lindsay Duncan & Ciaran Hinds excelling.
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (Wall Street 2) (2010)
The lengthy screenplay is not very interesting but its more interesting than the characters.
In the Valley of Elah (2007)
It takes its time and doesn't really catch fire – it needs patience but is watchable. Unfortunately Susan Sarandon barely appears.
Dom Hemingway (2013)
Jude Law's over the top performance doesn't help.
