Grown Ups (2010)
With the exception of Buscemi you wish the males would push off and give the ladies a go. Even more of a balance on screen time would have helped.
Pufnstuf (1970)
Interesting – a bit different to normal. Only negative was the screeching of the characters particularly the hags.
Patch Adams (1999)
The original story idea is fine but William's character wears thin after ten minutes, Williams has an improbable romance, it sermonises and gets soppy & so does the soundtrack.
Fire Down Below (1997)
Seagal in the ultimate "sticks out like a sore thumb"role. I assume his casting was serious so its best treated as a comedy. A very good support cast try not to look too embarrassed.
Until They Sail (1957)
As nothing happens story wise and the acting talent is not really used the only point of interest is some of the location shooting.
Queen of Earth (2015)
Great opening shot of Moss's face & it appears periodically throughout the film complemented by some of Waterson as they kill time together. The dialogue wasn't very interesting but the musical score helped create an atmosphere.
Changeling (2008)
Even for Eastwood its long & it took a long time to find a finish. The story is interesting so hopefully there is a documentary available so that we can find out what really happened (there is a book see IMDb).Period set designs & costumes are faultless.
Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, The (2014)
Her segment is just as boring as the Him segment – the characters are so uninteresting but at least the HER one has the great Isabelle Huppert in a support role.
Knight's Tale, A (2001)
The best bits are when Bettany (very good) is working with Tudyk and Addy. The first 41 jousts are fine then they become much of a sameness – the film gradually loses its way but the bizarre modern rock soundtrack helps.
Solitary Man (2009)
Pertinent title for this waste of space of a character. The talented Susan Sarandon hardly appears.
