Two Little Boys (2012)
The script is well suited to the characters but the story runs out of steam before the end and it looks as if it was in search of an ending. The saving grace for the whole exercise is the Catlins locations.
High Heels and Low Lifes (2001)
A very good comedy script handled competently by the whole cast.
Last Panthers, The (TV Series) (2015)
Goran Bogdan is particularly impressive in this well written European drama – the action scenes are extremely well done.
King of the Gypsies (1978)
Initial scenes good but then its downhill – patchy screenplay & entrusting the lead character to a newcomer (Roberts) doesn't help. Considering the quality of most of the cast, the soundtrack & dancing segments its a shame that its disappointing overall.
Last Man Standing (1996)
A bit of a mess really although it looks good at times. Not even Christopher Walken or Bruce Dern can raise this one.
Dinosaur (2000)
Doughy eyed creatures help but the story is okay and the animation terrific.
Aladdin (1993)
Simple animation style but very effective – some delightful moments and interesting characters.
Intern, The (2015)
It's remarkable that they got the film to last nearly two hours with the material available. It gets soppy toward the end.
Tales of Hoffmann, The (1951)
Uneven but no scene is lacking interest either in the dancing, music, sumptuous colours or the set designs which are the highlight & as with the sets for "Black Narcissus" stunning at times. Again Powell & Pressburger produce a film that is different.
Journey of Natty Gann, The (1985)
Excellent periodic props and wardrobe plus animal training, stunt work and location shooting.
