Mortal Kombat (1995): The creatures were interesting, a bit different and reasonably well done.
Threads (1984): Impressive in impact and in detail – no wart is left unturned – the stiff British upper lip a myth. Great work by the set designers and make up department.
Game 6 (2005): Based on an interesting screenplay Michael Keaton does his thing and makes it a worthwhile watch.
Assassination Of A High School President (2008): Well written but it really succeeds because of Canadian actor Reece Thompson who has his central character nailed to perfection.
5th Wave, The (2016): Chloe's voice was too soft to be the narrator so out the door goes the explanation of the premise. The special effects are a copy and paste job & the characters are not very interesting so its best treated as light entertainment.
Doors, The - Feast of Friends (1968): Blu–Ray bonus features include "Feast of Friends Encore" and two other short docs. Main feature plus bonuses would be a must addition to the library of any Doors fan.
End of the Tour, The (2015): God the guy loved to talk – but its good that if he had anything interesting to say that it has been recorded for posterity through the interview.
After.Life (Afterlife) (2009): Nothing wrong with the plot idea or the casting but it doesn't work as well as it could have.
Martian, The (2015): The set designs are fine but for most of its length the story telling drags and needs pop music to back it up. The ending is predictable and soft.; DVD $14.95
From Dusk Till Dawn (TV Series) (2014): Tries to shock as much as it can but it loses its appeal long before the final episode.
