A Christmas Carol (2009)
Must be the most filmed story of all but the animation style gives it a fresh look.
Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour (2008)
Whilst the tunes aren't the best she certainly displays a lot of energy.
Serena (2014)
Good production values – with the props and costumes representing the period very well – the photography is easy on the eye but it was all insufficient to maintain the attention.
I Melt With You (2011)
The depiction of the characters as arseholes with a script to suit was well done.
Right Stuff, The (1983)
If you make a 3 hour film you can't afford to have too much padding in the material or too many uninteresting character portrayals. Quaid with his Nicholson type smirk was just irritating.
Sicilia! (1998)
Some beautiful peaceful interludes between the human conversation pieces.
Une Visite au Louvre (2004)
The narration was too academic to be understandable by the fish and chip brigade.
Get On Up (2014)
To its credit it gives a largely unflattering look at his off stage adult life. The musical extracts/segments are well done but the film doesn't need to be over 2 hrs – it lets itself down by not showing some restraint.
Ugly Truth, The (2009)
Not a great deal to recommend about it.
Kid, The (2000)
I don't know whose worse Willis or the kid. Lily Tomlin is fine.
