Winter Kills (1979)
An interesting portrayal – nothing by formula with this one – Huston and Perkins are worth the price of admission alone.
Immigrant, The (2013)
Suitably sombre. The set designs and wardrobe for the period are fine but the main idea on which the plot is based has been done before.
Risky Business (1983)
Of mild interest only when seen these days.
Pretty Baby (1978)
Very easy on the eye production wise – the plot requires brave film making (even for today). Brooke Shields is very good as is Susan Sarandon as always but Keith Carradine struggles.
Lost in America (1985)
Some very good bits but Brooks's hysterics are a negative. Julie H is good though.
Angel Face (1952)
A very good courtroom scene followed by an excellent finish highlight the film.
Phyllis Diller: Not Just Another Pretty Face (1968)
She has her own character which is very recognisable,a trademark laugh and a good delivery but her material is not the strongest.Terry–Thomas makes an appearance.
Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan (1984)
Sublime British support cast and production values. Best scenes are early in the film amongst the apes. Film makers should be commended for taking on a difficult plot. The film makes its point but maybe at the cost of some scenes coming across silly.
Ice Castles (1978)
There is always suspense when watching ice skating so its a winner on that front.
Born To Win (Addict) (1971)
Believable and gritty – aided by a pretty useful cast.
