Never Say Die (1988)
Nostalgic urban location shooting. Tony Barry is terrific as usual.John Clarke has a cameo which he probably scripted himself and its worth the price of admission.
Gladiator (2000)
As usual with blockbusters the acting talents are in support roles.Joaquin Phoenix and David Hemmings look the part. Peter Ustinov is normally in these kind of films and would have helped.A lot of the action scenes are just a waste of the tomato ketchup.
Your Highness (2011)
Some juvenile bits but it ends up being reasonable entertainment overall.
Dogs in Space (1986)
Definitely a cult film – would help if you appreciate punk music.
Fading Gigolo (2013)
Relaxing entertainment for the most part – there is a jazz score to take the edge off a whining noise that occurs now and again. The highlight is the easy on the eye photography and the street scenes.
Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Far too long – fails to maintain attention although the admirable special effects are better on blu–ray.Frustrating to see so much acting talent underused in support roles – Wood is too lightweight for a lead. Well done the makeup and props departments.
Longest Week, The (2014)
As with most of Jason Bateman's work – pleasant and light.
Fantastic Four (2005)
Enjoyable – doesn't take itself too seriously.
Predestination (2014)
Well done to the make – up department and Sarah Snook is riveting. The time–travel is simplistically done but effective. Great sound track.
Starsky and Hutch (2004)
Look past the irritating leads and observe the interesting casting of Juliette Lewis,Chris Penn and Fred Williamson.
